Position Overview

The Process Engineer - Cosmetic Manufacturing will develop, plan, and execute large-scale trials to transition new cosmetic products from concept to manufacturing. The Process Engineer - Cosmetic Manufacturing will identify and solve development problems through investigation and data analysis. This role reports to the Industrial Engineering Manager and works with various internal teams and external clients and suppliers.

Responsibilities Of The Process Engineer - Cosmetic Manufacturing

  • Design & Implement Manufacturing Solutions
  • Conduct large-scale pilot, filling, and assembly trials for new cosmetic products, ensuring smooth transition to manufacturing.
  • Create and execute experimental designs to solve processing challenges.
  • Operate confidently in a cGMP environment, adhering to regulations and standards.
  • Participate in resolving manufacturing issues and investigate non-conformances.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards in the work area.

Required Experience/Skills for the Process Engineer - Cosmetic Manufacturing:

  • Strong understanding of chemical processing, including heat transfer, mass flow, and statistical analysis.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment in the cosmetic or personal care industry.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey data and timelines to cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Education Requirements:

  • BS in Chemistry, Chemical/Industrial Engineering, or related field.
