Position Summary:

The Director of IT Infrastructure is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, maintenance, and support of all IT infrastructure components. This includes our medical-grade network, servers, storage, telecommunications, and end-user devices. The Director will lead a team of IT professionals and collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements, particularly HIPAA and healthcare industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive IT infrastructure strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals. Provide leadership and mentorship to the IT infrastructure team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Medical-Grade Network Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of a robust and secure medical-grade network, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations. Manage network performance, security, and availability, implementing appropriate monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Infrastructure Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, telecommunications, and end-user devices. Ensure systems are properly maintained, patched, and updated.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements. Oversee vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage IT infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Develop and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plan for IT systems, ensuring minimal downtime in the event of a disaster.
  • Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and develop the IT infrastructure team, conducting performance reviews and providing opportunities for professional growth.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and ensure that the infrastructure supports their requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all IT infrastructure systems and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a significant portion of that experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Proven experience managing a medical-grade network, with a deep understanding of HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
  • Strong technical skills in networking, server administration, storage management, and cybersecurity. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CISSP) preferred.
