REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in computer and information technology or a bachelor's degree in a related field.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:
SQL: 5 Years
Exp w/ Business Systems Analysis: 5 Years
PowerBI: 5 Years
Technical Writing: 3 Years
Exp with Process Management/Improvement: 2 Years
Proven experience in business analysis and data quality management, with a strong focus on measuring data integrity and tracking improvements
The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess data quality challenges and track improvement initiatives
Experience in defining and enforcing business rules, creating data quality dashboards, and monitoring data health is highly valued
Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams and explain data-related challenges in a clear and accessible way
Experience working with both structured and unstructured data, as well as a solid understanding of data management best practices, will also be important for success in this role

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The agency is seeking a skilled Business Data Analyst with a focus on data quality to support the measurement and tracking of improvements for the organization's source system assessments. In this role, the analyst will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing multiple data source systems to assess issues related to data validity, reliability, and consistency. The primary goal of the role is to enable the agency to make informed decisions by providing insights into data quality, ensuring the data produced is accurate, reliable, and suitable for decision-making and reporting. The Business Data Analyst will collaborate closely with Data Custodians, Data Stewards, Data Owners, and key stakeholders from divisions such as Developmental Services, Clinical and Quality Management, and Administration to identify data quality issues and support efforts to measure and track improvements. This will involve defining business rules to standardize data quality practices and ensure alignment with data governance standards across systems.

Additionally, the Business Data Analyst will assist in designing and maintaining data quality dashboards that provide visibility into the health of the data, enabling stakeholders to monitor performance and identify areas for ongoing improvement. The analyst will conduct reviews of existing data systems and processes to identify potential areas for enhancing data validation, reliability, and quality control measures. Through interviews with subject matter experts and stakeholders, the analyst will gather insights into data challenges and collaborate on formulating recommendations that can drive improvement. The analyst will track and measure the effectiveness of these improvements, ensuring that progress is made and sustained over time.
