Job Title: ETL Developer Location: Alexandria, VA (Hybrid)
Project Overview: The Open Payment Project seeks to build, test, and deploy components that enable Metro customers to pay fares using their own contactless open payment media, eliminating the need for a SmarTrip card. This solution will accommodate both full fare and senior customers, accepting contactless bank cards issued domestically and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, automate, and support sophisticated applications for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Create logical and physical data flow models for ETL applications.
Manage data warehousing, modeling, integration, migration, and business intelligence processes.
Import data from vendor cloud environments.
Proactively address challenges to meet project milestones and deadlines.
Utilize Microsoft Visio or other visualization tools to document application architecture.
Coordinate software requirements and collaborate with development teams.
Plan and deploy complex custom application programs and process improvements.
Complete mandatory Client security awareness training annually.
Review and assist with system hardening and vulnerability remediation.
Required Experience and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in:
Data warehousing, modeling, integration, migration, and ETL processes.
Conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
Importing data from external environments into hosted environments.
Using Visio and Moqups to document application architecture relationships.
Coordinating software requirements and collaborating with development teams.
PowerShell scripting for data manipulation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Exceptional application architecture and software development skills.
Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
