Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Search Strategy & Optimization (50%)
  • Drive search strategy and provide strategic direction to enhance search capabilities and user experience.
  • Optimize Coveo search performance to align with application needs, ensuring high relevancy and efficiency.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to improve search taxonomies, tagging, and recommendations across content types, including expert profiles, documents, and multimedia.
  • Assist product owners and UX designers in crafting effective search interfaces for an enhanced user experience.
  • Partner with development teams in implementing new search features, facets, and personalization within Coveo.
  • Evaluate and recommend new alternative search tools based on AI to enhance search capabilities.
  • Stay updated with Coveo AI and machine learning capabilities to drive search innovation.

Search Analytics (10%)
  • Generate and present reports for executive leadership that analyze search trends, patterns, and performance metrics.
  • Utilize Coveo Analytics and other web analytics tools to monitor and optimize search results.
  • Recommend improvements based on user behavior insights, search logs, and content performance data.
  • Track and report on search KPIs such as click-through rates, zero-result searches, and query refinements.

Search Operations (40%)
  • Work with engineers to identify and implement improvements in search functionalities.
  • Conduct regular site audits and indexing reviews to ensure optimal visibility and performance.
  • Support content teams with Coveo-specific SEO best practices, including metadata structuring, keyword optimization, and content tagging.
  • Assist in new product launches, site re-designs, and CMS rollouts to ensure seamless search integration.
  • Implement and refine search ranking algorithms, tuning relevance models, and applying AI-driven recommendations.
  • Stay informed on Coveo updates, industry trends, and emerging search technologies, sharing knowledge with the team.

Mandatory Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience working with Coveo search technology or similar search platforms.
  • Experience with Azure AI Search or similar cloud-based search solutions, particularly in leveraging AI-driven search enhancements and integrating with enterprise applications.
  • Strong understanding of search ranking models, query pipelines, and indexing strategies.
  • Experience with Coveo Machine Learning (CML) models, relevance tuning, and query pipelines.
  • Proficiency in SEO principles, metadata structuring, and content optimization.
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Coveo Analytics, or similar.
  • Experience working with APIs, RESTful services, and front-end integrations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
