Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Procurement & Contracts Analyst to ensure accuracy and compliance in deal capture and contracting processes. This role involves validating confirmations, resolving discrepancies, and collaborating with internal teams and external counterparties. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement, contracting, and trade floor operations, with strong analytical skills and stakeholder management expertise to drive continuous process improvements
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and validate confirmations, ensuring all deal terms are correctly captured.
  • Identify and log DEW (Discrepancy, Exception, and Warning) issues in procurement and contracting.
  • Collaborate with front office personnel and relevant teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Engage with counterparties as needed to facilitate resolutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance and streamline contracting processes.
  • Effectively manage assigned procurement categories with a focus on stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
  • Handle and resolve contract disputes related to pricing, quality, delivery timelines, claims, and liens.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal statutes and client clause owner requirements in collaboration with Legal teams.
  • Support purchase order creation, sourcing strategies, negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Work across multiple procurement initiatives, including sourcing, contracting, materials management, and Procure-To-Pay (P2P) operations.
  • Act as a liaison between procurement teams, legal departments, and internal business functions.
  • Maintain data integrity and accuracy in deal capture and contracting information.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in procurement, contract management, or a trade floor support role.
  • Prior experience in procurement within the energy industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of trade floor operations and commodity trading processes is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy in deal processing and contract management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to resolve discrepancies and disputes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate critical business decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to interface across different functions in a matrixed organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience using SAP, Ariba, and other procurement technologies.
  • Familiarity with procurement platforms and contract lifecycle management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in business, procurement, supply chain management, or engineering.
  • Hands-on experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and procurement analytics.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory compliance in procurement and contracting.
