The HR Generalist is responsible for assisting the Director of Finance & HR with a wide range of HR functions, including (but not limited to) talent acquisition, benefit administration, new hire onboarding, reviewing company policies and practices, providing support to employees and managers across the organization. This person will also monitor compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with the full recruitment cycle, including developing job descriptions, posting employment ads, screening resumes, conducting introductory phone screens, scheduling interviews, processing background checks, and onboarding
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state labor laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, and FLSA
- Assist in identifying training needs and developing training programs
- Coordinate performance reviews
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Assist with annual review of employee handbook ensuring compliance
- Participate in benefit renewal
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned
- Strong understanding of HR best practices
- Ability to handle sensitive personnel matters with confidentiality and discretion
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations in various states
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Ability to work independently or part of a team
- Self-directed, self-motivated, with excellent problem solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 2-4 years experience as an HR Generalist
