
Laborer (Motor Vehicle Operator)
- Loads, unloads, moves, and stacks material such as heavy boxes and bulky items by hand, hand-trucks, or dollies. Opens crates and boxes using crowbars and cuts bands using shears. Places items in appropriate area as directed. Receives supply shipments. Unloads boxes and pallets out of trucks. Places supplies in storage areas.
- Operates hand tools and simple power equipment such as power washers, commercial carpet shampooers, hand tools (crowbars, shears), ladders, hand trucks and dollies. Washes outside windows by hand or with power washer. Sweeps dirt, debris, cobwebs from buildings and sidewalks using a power washer or by hand.
- Using a ladder, cleans light fixtures and HVAC vents. Using a commercial carpet shampooer cleans carpets and furniture. Using a broom and mop sweeps and mops floors.
- Performs a variety of manual tasks such as moving, arranging, collecting, and cleaning equipment and materials. Moves and arranges furniture, as directed. May collect and empty garbage cans, pick up trash from grounds, bum garbage and trash, andwash and wax cars and trucks by hand or using a powered washer or buffer.
- On a daily basis, drives government vehicles to and from different lodging facilities. Uses vehicles to carry tools and materials needed to perform their duties. Uses vehicles to pick up trash and laundry. Picks up, sorts, and counts dirty laundry (towels, sheets, blankets, bedspreads) and makes it ready for contractor pickups. Receives clean linen from contractor. Sorts and counts clean linen, prepares and distributes linen to each housekeeping area. Keeps track of linen levels in housekeeping areas to ensure demands are met. Informs supervisor when supplies are running low.
- At least once a quarter delivers clean linen and picks up dirty linen from flight line facility.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- This position requires the incumbent have a valid driver's license and provide a DMV driving record.
- This position may be scheduled to work shift work such as evenings, nights, weekends, and family down days.
- This position requires a pre-employment physical to be completed within 60 days of hire.

Qualifying Experience:
- Must have work experience using basic hand tools (such as screwdrivers, crowbars, shears, etc.) and simple power equipment such as (power washer, carpet shampooers, etc).
- Must be able to read and follow simple signs and specific written and/or oral instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps.
- Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds and be able to occasionally lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
- Able to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach, and work in awkward positions.
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain and maintain a government driver's license.
Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
