Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Electronics Mechanic ~ without more than normal supervision.
I have the ability to perform common Electronics Mechanic duties. I can install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronics equipment of moderate complexity. I use a variety of test equipment. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
  • Physical Efforts: Work involves standing on concrete floors, bending, stooping, and kneeling, and occasionally cramped or awkward positions. Continuously handles objects weighing from 10 to 40 pounds and occasionally those weighing over 40 pounds.
  • Working Conditions: Works in well lighted, heated and ventilated shop areas or missile sites where occasionally there is inclement weather. Subject to cuts, bruises, falls, and broken bones, and shock or burns caused by high voltage energy and soldering irons.
