We are seeking an experienced Managed Services Enterprise Architect to lead technical services delivery teams across Storage, Security, Networking, UCS, Routing, Compute, and Cloud environments. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with business and technology stakeholders to develop scalable, secure, and high-performing IT management processes that align with organizational goals. The candidate must be capable of understanding the overall architecture for a customer and leading and mentoring services leaders from multiple technology disciplines. The candidate must work closely with program managers, new infrastructure build architects, and account executives to ensure we continuously optimizing customer s network environments.
This role requires deep expertise in enterprise infrastructure, hybrid cloud environments, and security frameworks, as well as the ability to drive transformation initiatives in a complex IT landscape.
Technically, the candidate must have significant hands-on Dell Avamar, PowerFlex, PowerScale, and PowerMax experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Strategy:
- Develop and maintain enterprise architecture standards, principles, and best practices across Storage, Security, Networking, UCS, Routing, Compute, and Cloud domains.
- Define long-term technology roadmaps that align with business objectives and emerging technology trends.
- Design management processes for scalable, resilient, and secure enterprise infrastructure solutions, ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery strategies are in place.
- Evaluate and recommend cloud-first, hybrid, and on-premises solutions that optimize performance and cost.
Infrastructure & Networking:
- Oversee enterprise networking and security solutions, including SD-WAN, SASE, Zero Trust, firewalls, and segmentation strategies.
- Define and implement best practices for UCS (Unified Computing System), storage (SAN, NAS, Object Storage), and compute environments.
- Lead routing, switching, and connectivity strategies to support multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
Security & Compliance:
- Develop enterprise security management processes that align with compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, etc.).
- Implement robust IAM (Identity & Access Management), Zero Trust, encryption, and vulnerability management strategies.
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure security best practices are embedded across IT systems and services.
Cloud & Hybrid Architecture:
- Define and oversee the cloud strategy (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), ensuring proper governance, security, and scalability.
- Drive containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and automation initiatives to improve deployment efficiencies.
- Lead cloud networking, storage, and security architectures, ensuring seamless integration with on-prem infrastructure.
Collaboration & Leadership:
- Partner with IT, Security, DevOps, and Business Leaders to develop and execute enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
- Provide architectural guidance to solution architects, engineers, and IT operations teams.
- Evaluate new technologies and conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives to assess feasibility and impact.
- Develop technical documentation, standards, and best practices for IT teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, infrastructure design, and IT strategy.
- Strong expertise in Storage (SAN, NAS, Object), Security, Networking (SD-WAN, Routing, Switching, Firewalls), UCS, Compute (VMware, Hyper-V), and Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience designing high-availability, disaster recovery, and multi-cloud architecture.
- Deep understanding of enterprise security frameworks, IAM, and Zero Trust models.
- Proven ability to architect and deploy, or manage, hybrid cloud and on-prem solutions.
- Strong knowledge of IT governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks (ISO, NIST, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, etc.).
- Technically, the candidate must have significant hands-on Dell Avamar, PowerFlex, PowerScale, and PowerMax experience.
Preferred:
- Certifications such as AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, CCNP/CCIE, CISSP, VMware VCP, or TOGAF.
- Hands-on experience with automation, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and DevOps practices.
- Experience with orchestration tools like Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in driving large-scale IT transformation projects.
