- Identifies and checks to see that loading or unloading is done in a way to prevent damage and contract specifications are being followed.
- Ensures the customer understands the contractor and their own personal responsibilities in connection with the shipment of their personal property.
- Processes inbound/outbound inspection data through Transportation Operational Property System (TOPS), Defense Property System (DPS) and/or other required systems.
- Inspects contractor’s warehouses to determine that storage methods are proper, adequate protection is provided against fire, flooding, insects, vermin, and facility is receiving adequate community fire and police protection.

- May be required to work various hours to include holidays, weekends, or on-call duty.
- Overtime may be required on short notice to include nights, holidays and weekends in support of related mission requirements.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a government vehicle operation certificate, within 30 days of employment.
- A qualified typist (at least 40 wpm with 3 or fewer errors) is required.
