What will your essential duties be?
- Designs and implements business strategies, plans, and procedures in partnership with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Leadership.
- Oversees daily operations of Warehouse, Logistics, and Fulfillment and works closely with other departments to ensure processes are followed.
- Develops and implements strategies, policies, and initiatives to improve inventory management to ensure the right products are in the right locations, and to improve service levels while reducing inventory investments and operational costs.
- Oversees the demand planning and inventory optimization functions for the business.
- Drives and oversee the design and continuous improvement of inventory control systems.
- Meets and monitors AIB, OSHA, and DOT requirements and compliance and provides proactive leadership to the organization by serving as the Chief Safety Officer; oversees an active Safety Committee.
- Provides internal controls to ensure proper management of assets including warehouse, transportation equipment, facilities equipment, and machinery.
- Oversees the logistical maintenance of the US DOT clearinghouse.
- Accountable for compliance with USDA requirements across all branch locations and ensures appropriate training of Directors to roll down compliant practices.
- Directly supervises Fulfillment and Warehouse Operations and Logistics departments; ensures smooth functioning of assigned departments through the creation of standard operating procedures across all facilities and delivery operations.
- Perform other duties and projects as needed or assigned.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree plus at least ten years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of experience and education (15 years+).
Superior problem solving and conflict management skills.
Proven leadership and management skills.
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Strong analytical abilities and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, regulations, and legal documents pertaining to human resources.
Excellent organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail.
Ability to work and interact well with individuals (staff and volunteers) from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds.
Oracle/NetSuite experience preferred; ERP experience required.
AIB experience preferred.
Knowledge of USDA grants and food acquisition processes strongly preferred.
Ability to travel weekly to other branch locations within the state of SC.
