Key Activities/Responsibilities

Initial Training (approximately six (6) months)

  • Train with production, customer service, and rental centers to gain knowledge and experience being “hands-on” with Jetstream products.
  • Up to 50% travel during Initial Training, up to 20% afterwards.
  • Gain WJTA two-part certification to ensure proper operational use of equipment.
  • Promote process improvements that enhance quality, lowers cost, or increases efficiency.
  • Promote product enhancements requested by customers, product manager, or sales staff.
  • Work directly with other engineers and technicians to troubleshoot product problems.
  • Assist in investigating customer service issues, solving technical problems through operational troubleshooting on all equipment.

Permanent Position

  • Utilize calculations or simulation software to analyze and design complex engineering solutions to optimize product performance.
  • Develop and revise Solid Edge CAD models and engineering drawings that production and purchasing use to produce and procure equipment.
  • Work within our PLM (Teamcenter) system to develop and revise parts, sub-assembly packages and full assemblies.
  • Utilize ASME Y14.5 GD&T principles to ensure accurate production and inspection of parts.
  • Use Jetstream’s Wave release database for issuance of new part numbers.
  • Use Jetstream’s Wave release database to ensure engineering changes, field problems, and Non-Conformance Reports are well written and captured for legacy storage/retrieval.
  • Assist production, purchasing, customer service, rental centers and other engineers in technical challenges related to our products.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar technical discipline.
  • 0-3 years of relevant previous experience
  • Knowledge of Engineering design principles, material science, and fluid mechanics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with an ability to read/write technical instructions.
  • Comprehension and analysis of scientific articles and technical reports.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications
  • Must be mechanically inclined, willing to perform maintenance, and strive to become proficient at troubleshooting Jetstream equipment.
