Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes1) advising organization on accounting and/or financial management guidance and processes; 2) assists with analyzing financial and cost data/reports to identify and correct issues; and 3) utilizing accounting systems to maintain data and/or prepare reports to identify discrepancies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

- Serves as a Financial Management Analyst, applying knowledge of accounting, budgeting and resource management practices.
- Reviews financial statements and reports and provides overall guidance and assistance relative to the financial operations of the organization.
- Provides technical advice on financial systems to users.
- Implements organization’s fiscal year closeout procedures to ensure successful certification requirements and financial report integrity.

- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirement.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time
- This position requires the ability to obtain the Financial Management Level 2 Certification.
