PHYSICAL EFFORT
Work is performed in a variety of positions which are uncomfortable, awkward, and tiring. Work also involves a considerable amount of bending, stretching, climbing, and stooping, either under or on vehicles. Frequently lifts and handles parts and equipment up to 40 pounds. Heavier items are moved/lifted with overhead hoists/cranes or assistance from other workers.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Usually works inside where there is frequent exposure to drafts, changing temperatures, dust, fumes, dirt, oil, and grease while standing on hard surfaces. Occasionally may work outside with the possibility of exposure to adverse weather conditions such as temperature extremes, rain, and snow. There is frequent exposure to cuts, burns, bruises, shocks, and strains and the possibility of skin irritation from vehicle fluids.
