Position: Coach
Location: George Read Middle School
Reports to: Principal/Athletic Director
Performance Responsibilities
- Conducts tryouts and informs team candidates about eligibility requirements
- Determines team membership and provides a team roster to the Athletic Director
- Plans and supervises practices and games. Develops the schedule for all practices
- Directs the procurement of medical assistance during practices and games
- Supervises locker room before and after practices and games
- Coordinates with the Athletic Director for ordering, maintaining and storing
- Identifies students to receive awards. Participates in and support school
- Directs and supervises the activities of the assistant coach(es).
- Files an end of the season report as directed by the Athletic Director.
- Assists, in concert with the Athletic Director, in the development of the
- Ensures compliance with all state and district policies and regulations,
Athletes.
- Provides an inventory of equipment at the close of the sports program.
- Serves as liaison with parents of students involved an works with
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal and/or Athletic Director
- Current Criminal Background Check and Child Registry on file with District
