Position Purpose:

Job Summary:

Client Digital group is seeking an experienced Digital Product Owner to guide the development and enhancement of critical digital applications designed for the Builder and Multi-Family segment. These platforms serve as a comprehensive toolset for managing electricity pricing, sales, customer onboarding, and operational workflows for builders and multi-family property managers.

The PO role involves working closely with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver solutions that integrate customer-facing, back-office, and self-service online portal functionalities. Database and SAP integration constitute key components of the implementations, so a candidate with experience around technical applications is preferred, though specific in-depth SAP knowledge is not required. Experience in the Texas electricity market is also a plus.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

Product Vision & Roadmap:

o Work with stakeholders to define and champion the vision for the Builder/Multi-Family application, ensuring alignment with business and Client strategic goals.

o Develop and prioritize a product roadmap that supports the needs of builders, property managers, and internal teams.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

o Work closely with teams across Sales, Pricing, Operations, and IT to understand requirements and ensure the platform delivers value.

o Act as the bridge between business users and the development team, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on goals and priorities.

o Become a knowledge resource on the platforms, business, and customer needs for this segment.

Backlog Ownership:

o Maintain a well-organized and prioritized product backlog, creating clear and actionable user stories with acceptance criteria.

o Continuously refine priorities based on business objectives, user feedback, and market needs.

Development Oversight:

o Partner with developers and technical leads to deliver features and functionality on schedule and at a high level of quality.

o Facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure progress and alignment.

Analytics & Decision Making:

o Use data and analytics to measure product performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

o Represent the needs of the customer in decision-making conversations.

o Leverage insights to drive decisions and shape the product roadmap.

Integration & Support:

o Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the platform integrates effectively with SAP and other internal systems.

o Provide ongoing support and guidance for integration challenges while focusing on delivering business outcomes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical or Business-related field.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and apply insights to product decisions.
  • Basic familiarity with SQL (relational databases) or a willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to foster innovation and collaboration across stakeholders and the development team.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience delivering customer-facing digital solutions.
  • Knowledge of applications that integrate with databases and enterprise systems like SAP.
  • Familiarity with the Texas electricity market or experience working with builders and multi-family property managers.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Houston area resident capable of working in the Client office 3 days a week.
