Salary: Target range is $38-48/hour
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Windows Server Administrator to join our IT team in a full-time, onsite role in Eden Prairie, MN. This 6-month contract-to-hire position requires expertise in Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022), backup and recovery solutions, Microsoft 365, Intune, Exchange Entra, and various Manage Engine products. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled at both troubleshooting and offering solutions in a 24/7/365 manufacturing environment.
Candidates must be local to the Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN metro area. Candidates must also be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship both now and in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
* Windows Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments, including after-hours patching.
* Backup & Recovery: Implement and manage Veeam Backup to ensure data integrity and availability.
* Microsoft 365 & Cloud Administration: Manage Office 365, including user accounts, security settings, Intune, Exchange Entra, and Active Directory Synchronization.
* Endpoint & Log Management: Utilize Manage Engine Endpoint Central for device management and Log 360 for system log monitoring.
* Active Directory Administration: Manage and maintain Active Directory using Manage Engine ADManager Plus.
* Help Desk Support: Handle support tickets and issue resolution through Manage Engine Service Desk Plus.
* Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and efficiency.
* Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to security policies and industry standards (Secure Controls Framework, NIST 1.1 & 2.0 preferred).
* Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery plans.
* Virtualization: Manage a Nutanix-based virtual environment with ~100 servers (VMware experience required).
* Performance Monitoring: Use Manage Engine OPManager to monitor and optimize server performance.
* Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive system documentation.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
* Experience: 3-5 years in Windows Server Administration.
* Technical Skills:
o Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
o Veeam Backup technologies
o Microsoft 365, Intune, and Exchange Entra
o Manage Engine products (Endpoint Central, Log 360, ADManager Plus, OPManager, Service Desk Plus)
o PowerShell scripting
o Disaster recovery and business continuity planning
o Nutanix (preferred) or VMware (minimum requirement)
* Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
* Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Veeam Certified Engineer, or similar.
