The Contract Engineer will be responsible for supporting the engineering activity for the consolidation of manufacturing facilities. This position will work with the engineering team to construct Engineering Masters (Bill of Materials and Routings) and configure part/component data on product that is moving from another facility. Along with product configuration, the contract engineer will also liaise with the operations to ensure on-time delivery.



RESPONSIBILITIES:


Construct Engineering Masters (BOMs and Routings) and configure finished goods and component data


Develop assembly instructions for manufacturing assembly and fabrication


Support Operations to ensure safe, efficient processes (i.e. process analysis, jigs and fixtures, time studies)


Support production and fabrication by reviewing part quality or assembly issues


Create incoming and in-process part inspection procedures and provide training as needed



Proficient with ERP software, Infor Visual Manufacturing is desired


Experience in process improvement and manufacturing engineering-related duties


Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Ability to manage simultaneous tasks and projects


Works well in a team environment


Experience in Sheet Metal product design and manufacturing preferred


Experience in supporting manufacturing assembly lines
