Job Title: Material Handler Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor

Summary
This position supports RDI productivity and on-time delivery goals by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, and staging finished products. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory accuracy and the movement of material into and out of the warehouse. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and often has direct interaction with the Production Manager, Supervisors, and Techs, as well as the Supply Chain Manager and Quality Assurance. Willingly completes other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
Moves about the work area/building continually, moving materials throughout the production floor. Continuous reaching, stooping, bending, and twisting to reach and position materials.
Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; records the location of inventory, focusing on timeliness and accuracy.
Referring to production orders, locates materials and supplies, accurately pulling inventory from assigned bin locations to support pick/pack operations numerous times per workday.
Maintains an awareness of schedules and deadlines and adapts to changing work priorities throughout the shift.
Manually removes materials from pallets to create smaller loads or prepare items for delivery.
Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units. Perform weigh counts for WIP returns to inventory.
Operates a forklift, sometimes in tight spaces to move deliveries and retrieve stored items. Also, to stack and remove empty pallets.
Maintains material handling equipment by completing a pre-use inspection, makes operator repairs.
Maintain warehouse and material handling equipment in a clean and safe condition. This includes pre-use inspection and identifying safety risks, removing empty crates and boxes, packing materials, recyclables, and other debris from the warehouse floor. Keeps shelves and pallet area neat.
Follows appropriate safety policies and procedures of RDI as well as community and regulatory instruction.
Reports all broken and malfunctioning equipment immediately.
Maintains a good record of attendance and punctuality as defined by RDI's policy. Records all time worked accurately and consistently using the timekeeping method provided by RDI.
