Job Duties:
- Working with multiple cross functional engineers to bring a solution from concept to reality.
- Employ SolidWorks expertise to develop 3D models of diverse components and assemblies.
- Generate detailed component drawings adhering to GD&T standards to facilitate accurate manufacturing.
- Ability to provide technical expertise in mechanical engineering and supply chain operations.
- Work closely with cross functional teams to integrate conveyor control solutions, automated material handling equipment, and autonomous vehicles.
- Create and maintain mechanical layouts / systems design.
- Perform on-site commissioning support and design review when required.
- Perform necessary mechanical installation when required.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters in: Mechanical engineering or a related engineering field.
- 2+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, CAD and CAE.
- Familiarity with the following 3D modeling software platforms: SolidWorks & AutoCAD.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in hardware and mechanical installations.
- Ability to lead and/or assist in project definition, specification, purchasing follow-through to installation.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills, strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and the ability to conduct meetings and presentations with associates from all levels of management.
- This job will require up to a maximum of 50% travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient understanding and over 2 years of experience in 3D design and GD&T standards, including their fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of industrial control systems equipment (PLCs, Servos, and VFDs).
- Familiarity with the following programming language is a plus: Ladder Logic.
- Experience with warehouse automation equipment or experience with warehouse management and/or execution systems is a plus.
