
Financial Manager, NF-05
Serves in the Chief, Funds Control position for the Financial Management Branch. Provides a wide variety of accounting, budgeting and financial management functions to the headquarters. Applies accounting concepts to solve problems, render advice, or to meet other needs of the installation, MACOM or Headquarters. Formulates budget guidance based on new or discontinued requirements and fiscal objectives. Develops program execution guidance, program review and evaluation. Contributes to the development of accounting and budget systems for use in meeting financial reporting requirements. May direct and administer audit activities. Directs, computes, analyzes, adjusts and presents statistical data to assure maximum benefit from financial resources. Directs subordinate staff.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Specialized experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties described above using the theories, principles, practices, and techniques of generally accepted accounting principles. Ability to apply knowledge in reviewing, analyzing, revising, and recommending approval, disapproval or modification of budget requests and justifications. Documented experience must have been equivalent in complexity and difficulty to the next lower grade/level. Supervisory experience directing technical and professional financial management operations.
HIGHLY QUALIFYING CRITERIA:
1) Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) financial management experience at the installation level managing budgeting and execution.
2) Systems administration skills for financial management, point of sale, inventory, reporting and databases.
3) Possess a bachelor's degree with a major in a business discipline (i.e. accounting, financial management).
Education
Education is not required for this position and will not be utilized in determining minimum qualifications or as a substitution for experience unless indicated in the vacancy.
