Marketing & Retail Manager Consultant (Food industry / CPG) - Remote - Southern USA
Role: RETAIL MANAGER - MARKETING CONSULTANT - FOOD INDUSTRY- CONTRACT
Location: Remote position - this is a 5 State Territory- Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi (extensive travel). MUST reside in Southern US area
Contract Length: 1 year (with opportunity to convert to permanent down the road)
Hourly pay: $35.00-$39.00 per hour

We are looking for a Retail Manager Retail Marketing Consultant from a big box store or a Jr Marketing person with experience expanding growth opportunities for the distribution of a well known snack and food product company. Ideally this person will be from the Tuscaloosa, Montgomery, Alabama area which is centrally located within a 5 state territory. Candidates located in the FL Panhandle will be considered.
This person will have 2 -3 yrs experience analyzing retail store sales with proven ability to expand the sales of products through better store displays, and partnership improvement. This is a 5 State Territory- Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi.
This person will be responsible for driving to national accounts (Company Car provided) to Analyze and share market conditions with Independent Distributors, to identify opportunities for growth and conduct optional business meetings to support the growth of the respective businesses.
This person will be a key liaison between cross functional partners such as Customer Teams, Warehouse Operations, and IDPs to close gaps and ensure that service levels are met through product availability and customer strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF RETAIL DEVELOPMENT
- Forecast & analyze market conditions and develop gap plans across local market to unlock growth in partnership with IDPs.
- Visit key accounts and stores to identify strengths and opportunities while building relationships with key local retailer decision makers.
- Follow up with all service-related issues generated by retailers within 24 hours to ensure that the IDP and retailer have finalized a positive resolution.
- Build rapport and trust with key store management personnel (multiple levels) during visits and through communication.
QUALIFICATIONS
BA DEGREE REQUIRED - REMOTE- EXTENSIVE TRAVEL A MUST - Company Car Provided and travel expenses paid.
- 3 years of related sales of Consumer Packaged Goods experience
- Big Box Store Assistant Manager Or JR Retail Marketing Analyst
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to influence and persuade
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Advanced Microsoft skills including Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated leadership skills
