- Performs a full range of simple cooking of items that require little to no processing and prepping foods by peeling, chopping, cutting, grinding, pureeing, dredging and etc.
- Operates and cleans a variety of different standard kitchen equipment that use multiple types of heat sources such as gas, electricity, steam and/or microwave.
- Maintains a clean work space and follows established sanitation procedures when handling food.
- Ensures foods are properly cooked and stored at the correct temperatures to prevent the growth of bacteria.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical.
- Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation/safety training within 30 days of employment; minimum of 4 hours refresher training required annually.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para. 2 to include a medical examination.
- Incumbent may be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to Federally controlled facilities.
- Must meet age requirement of 18 years or older at time of appointment.
