POS Program Manager - Remote
A national consumer organization is seeking an experienced Point of Sale (POS) Program Manager to join their growing team. The POS Program Manager is responsible for managing and delivering multiple parts of a program around updating and improving the point of sale software and hardware for the corporate office and stores. You will partner closely with a Product Lead, Technical Lead and the Business teams in a highly collaborative, exciting, and fast paced atmosphere. The ideal POS Program Manager will have POS implementation or retail program management experience. You will focus on leading coordination and management activities of the program, program planning activities, program budgeting and forecasting processes, help manage vendors and third parties, and governance and monitoring activities.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate and lead multiple, concurrent critical Technology program and program work streams as part of company-wide strategic priorities.
- Partner with Product Management, Engineering and Business Teams to clearly define program objectives, program scope, and target benefits.
- Plan, manage, and monitor the program activities within the program lifecycle from beginning to end and own regular ongoing progress monitoring processes within the portfolio.
- Lead program planning activities across multiple technology teams, third parties, and stakeholder groups including building schedules and plans to support program objectives and milestones.
- Define and implement appropriate ongoing Program Governance (reporting, monitoring, stakeholder engagement, communication and escalations).
- Identify and manage cross team dependencies through appropriate portfolio planning and delivery processes.
- Incorporate into the program, and coach teams as appropriate on applying agile techniques and continuous improvement practices.
- Coordinate with fellow program leaders to define and manage the program budget, and continuously update and manage the program financial forecast, to enable target program benefits.
Requirements:
- 10+ years experience in relevant, progressive experience in Technology
- 5+ years experience as a Project Manager or Program Manager handling complex initiatives in an enterprise environment within Security and/or Infrastructure
- Project Management certification preferred
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and hybrid agile program management experience/training preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Experience with Jira, Smartsheet, and Google Business Suite preferred
- Strong functional experience in relevant retail and supply chain functional areas required
- Previous experience completing a large POS implementation is required (software and hardware)
- Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and lead projects according to project management best practices.
- Experience communicating program progress, risks and issues to senior leaders.
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
