Job Overview:

Cupid Intimates is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to oversee and grow accounts across the Mid-Tier / Department store channel, including but not limited to Kohl’s, Beall’s Her Room and Zappos. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in account management, sales growth, and relationship building. Reports to the Director of Sales – National Brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies by brand and account to exceed annual shipping goals and market share while adhering to all coop, markdowns and expense budgets.
  • Manage cost shipping roadmaps monthly to track wholesale progress against plan.
  • Work with buyers and planners on seasonal financial plans that tie back to a seasonal bottom up and assortment mix by style, color and cluster.
  • Collaborate weekly with Analysts to identify opportunities and liabilities then adjust accordingly.
  • Plan markdowns on underperforming product seasonally and mitigate risk with planned turn-off schedule.
  • Stay abreast of competitive products, and communicate marketing and product opportunities.
  • Ecom focus – grow sales by regularly monitoring site content, working with accounts to optimize PDPs and brand strength.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, buyers, and decision-makers to secure new business and expand existing partnerships.
  • Provide in-store training materials and information. Conduct virtual training as needed.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams across Production Planning, Sales Forecasting and Field Merchandising to ensure smooth execution of sales initiatives, inventory management, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with Analysts to establish regular communication around shipping, orders, and new product tracking.
  • Work with Analysts to identify reports needed weekly, monthly, seasonally to drive profitable sales.
  • Initiate and prepare for meetings with decks, analysis, business recaps and samples.
  • Travel: 15%
  • Regularly engage at NY Market and travel (year-round) to key accounts as business needs warrant.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5-10 years in sales, account management, or retail buying, preferably in Intimate Apparel.
  • Multi-Channel Expertise: Experience managing a mix of national retailers, regional stores, and online-only accounts.
  • Analytical Thinking: Proficient in retail math; creation of business plans inclusive of style assortment mix; financial sales analysis, receipt and stock planning, and gross margin analysis.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
