Role Overview
The Engineering Manager will oversee technical leadership, project management, team expansion, and business development in the region. They will be responsible for leading client projects, supporting team growth, and providing expert engineering services across multiple disciplines, including Water/Wastewater, Structural, Civil, and MEP.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage engineering projects in municipal, private, and industrial sectors.
- Act as a technical lead on projects, ensuring quality control and compliance with industry standards.
- Drive business development, fostering relationships with clients and identifying growth opportunities.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to junior engineers, with an emphasis on team expansion.
- Conduct field investigations and assessments of existing systems.
- Lead proposal preparation, including developing statements of qualifications.
- Work closely with senior leadership across multiple offices to enhance regional operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to expand engineering services in Virginia.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering.
- Professional License: PE license required (preferably in Virginia or ability to obtain one quickly).
- Experience: 10-15 years of engineering experience with expertise in technical project leadership and client management.
- Strong background in proposal writing, QA/QC oversight, and business development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with AutoCAD/Revit is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and mentor engineers.
