SUMMARY:

As a Project Manager, reporting to the Sr. Director of Program Operations, you are responsible for executing on planning, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives that involve multiple organizations working together to address complex social issues, requiring strong relationship-building skills, project management expertise, and a deep understanding of collective impact principles to ensure aligned efforts towards shared goals and measurable outcomes across a network of partners. Key duties include facilitating communication, moving the program forward, coordinating activities, tracking progress, and monitoring data to demonstrate the collective impact achieved.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Partnership Management:

  • Execute various projects within and outside the organization. This involves coordinating with team members, assigning tasks, monitoring, tracking, and reporting progress, and ensuing that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with participating organizations, community
  • Cement existing strong relationships with external stakeholders, including policymakers, community organizations, and industry experts.
  • Foster collaboration and communication across diverse partners to ensure alignment and coordinated action.
  • Facilitate regular meetings, workshops, and information sharing sessions to maintain momentum and address challenges.

Project Execution:

  • Develop detailed project plans with clear timelines, budgets, and responsibilities.
  • Monitor project progress against established goals and metrics, identifying areas for improvement and making necessary adjustments.
  • Manage project risks and mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.

Data and Evaluation:

  • Manage the collection, analysis, and reporting of data to track progress.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and coordination of publications to disseminate project outcomes, policy recommendations, and actionable insights.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and refine strategies.

Communication and Advocacy:

  • Communicate project progress and achievements to the Sr. Director of Program Operations.
  • Advocate for policies and practices that support the program.
  • Provide backup to team members, fill-in functional gaps and perform other duties as assigned or needed to support operational and programming standards at the highest level.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

  • Previous project manager experience.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent independent time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders including executive level personnel.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and improvement; staying updated on relevant research, trends, and best practices in the think tank sector.
  • Knowledge of the socio-political landscape and policy issues relevant to BCCA’s focus areas.
  • Strong understanding of policy development process.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. public policy, international relations, social sciences).
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Professional competence with Microsoft Office 365 Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work at a computer for extended periods; Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds; Occasional travel
