Job Title: Technology Services Asset Manager
Location: Madison, WI (ON-SITE)
Pay Rate: $22-25/hour


Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Technology Services Asset Manager to oversee the management of physical technology assets within our hardware depot. This role is responsible for tracking orders, assigning identification numbers and barcode tags upon delivery, and scheduling the distribution and installation of equipment. The ideal candidate will maintain a constant inventory of CPUs, printers, monitors, docks, cables, and other essential repair and replacement parts. Additionally, this position will support the district-wide strategy for replacing outdated hardware and software across all campus locations.


Key Responsibilities:
* Manage inventory for Technology Services assets throughout the district.
* Maintain an accurate inventory management system for tracking all technology assets.
* Ensure a consistent supply of necessary hardware, including repair/replacement parts, CPUs, printers, monitors, cables, and docks.
* Organize and maintain an orderly storage system for technology assets.
* Oversee the removal and disposal of outdated technology services assets from inventory.
* Track and document incoming orders and shipments, assigning unique identification numbers and barcodes.
* Enter asset details into the inventory management system.
* Develop in-depth knowledge of Technology Services support products and services.
* Utilize and maintain proficiency in the incident management system.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
* Technical competence in a customer support environment, including maintenance procedures and system limitations.
* Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
* Advanced problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
* Strong technical troubleshooting and decision-making abilities.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in an environment with frequent interruptions.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and climb a 12-ft. ladder while carrying and/or installing equipment.

Problem-Solving and Process Management:
* Define and analyze asset management issues and implement solutions.
* Identify stakeholders and communicate effectively regarding issues and resolutions.
* Conduct root-cause analysis for operational efficiency improvements.
* Maintain ongoing operational support, monitoring, and periodic process reviews.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned with the team.

Minimum Qualifications:
* 2+ Years (4,000 hours) of related work experience, including one year (2,000 hours) of experience performing asset management duties in a medium to large work environment (500-2000 workstations).
