Description

SAIC has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer/SETA to provide direct customer support on a critical development effort involving autonomous systems. This role will support many aspects of the project life cycle and perform a variety of tasks to include:
  • Review of vendor designs at all phases (design concepts, preliminary designs, detailed designs, testing, etc.)
  • Identify and manage system CONOPS and requirements based on SME stakeholder inputs
  • Communicate requirements to vendors and assess designs against requirements
  • Directly report to multiple customer stakeholders project status, risks, and opportunities
  • Monitor integrated project schedules
  • Assist in the development of project review briefings ahead of critical milestones for presentation at an executive level
  • Provide timely and precise communication to customer and contractor stakeholders towards effective collaboration in the execution of the project
  • Act as a self starter who identifies problems and seeks out solutions without detailed guidance
  • Represent the customer during witnessing of key test events

Qualifications
  • Must currently hold a TS/SCI and be able to obtain a Poly prior to starting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field
  • Minimum of 9 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
  • Experience directly interacting with customers, gathering requirements, etc
  • Strong writing and documentation skills
  • Experience in the development of autonomous systems, or an understanding of the systems
