Production Management Specialist

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Production Management Specialist for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in New York, NY.

Responsibilities:

• Production Management, Root Cause analysis and resolution in line with SRE principles, SDLC and Change Management rules.
• 3rd party software maintenance, entitlements management, integration testing, and deployment-Resilience and DR testing: Developing and enforcing infrastructure best practices for 3rd party and internally developed applications-Plant Hygiene and management for different BUs u will have experience of managing, deploying to and debugging large scale production environments.
• Manage, deploy to and debug large scale production environments.
• Work with firewall teams and submit tickets for rule changes and troubleshooting requests.
• Write secure, testable, robust code.
• On-call responsibilities shared with a global team.
• Join a global team of highly accomplished engineers, developers, and operations specialists.
• Contribute and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of Enterprise Level Experience in Large Distributed Environment.
• In Depth Experience with Linux System Administration preferably Red Hat.
• Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP, Experience with networking and security concepts, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with monitoring tools and solutions.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in a highly visible faced paced enterprise environment.
• Ability to work with a global team.
• An understanding of Problem and Change Management Practices.
• An understanding of SLA, Metrics, and Alerts.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to write technical documentation and teach team members.
• Coding experience with Perl/Python and shell scripting.
• Experience automating workflow.
• Bachelor's Degree.
