Kforce has a client that is seeking a Procurement Specialist 3 in Houston, TX.

Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Procurement Specialist to manage complex procurement activities, lead sourcing projects, and optimize cost opportunities. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to implement supply chain strategies, ensuring timely and quality deliveries, and driving continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
* Lead sourcing activities and negotiations for medium to high-value aerospace and industrial components, optimizing cost and contract coverage
* Develop and implement tailored supply chain strategies that enhance cost, quality, and delivery performance
* Interface with global supply chain counterparts, senior stakeholders, and procurement teams, making sourcing recommendations at the business unit level
* Support internal procurement transformation programs and report on plans, activities, and results
* Foster strong cooperation with internal customers to ensure early involvement and customer satisfaction
* Utilize e-procurement tools to enhance data, increase automation, and standardize dashboards for supplier collaboration
* Resolve complex delivery, quality, and invoice issues, working closely with vendors and internal teams

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (8+ years) in procurement or a related field
* 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and commodity management, preferably in manufacturing or engineering
* Strong commercial, contractual, and project management skills
* Experience working with a global supplier base in a matrix environment
* Proven project management skills, ensuring successful delivery of procurement projects
* Experience managing global supplier networks and collaborating across functions in a matrix environment
* Experience with e-procurement tools and systems to enhance automation and supplier collaboration
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis for decision-making and process improvement
* Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize procurement processes
* Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with continuous improvement methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma
* Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels of the organization
* Experience as a strategy consultant or holding a law degree is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
