Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist with strong expertise in Windows deployment and endpoint management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, deploying, and maintaining Windows workstations across the organization using modern deployment technologies. This role includes providing white glove support to executives and key stakeholders, requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain Windows image deployment solutions using Windows Deployment Server
- Configure and manage device enrollment through Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot
- Perform PC imaging and reimaging as needed for new and existing devices
- Troubleshoot BIOS-level issues and perform BIOS updates/configurations
- Manage Windows user profiles and resolve profile-related issues
- Maintain documentation of deployment processes and configurations
- Provide technical support for Windows operating system issues
- Deliver white glove support for executives and priority users, including in-person assistance
- Explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience with Windows imaging and deployment technologies
- Hands-on experience with Windows Deployment Server (WDS)
- Strong knowledge of BIOS configuration and troubleshooting
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot enrollment
- Thorough understanding of Windows operating system architecture including:
- User profile management
- Core Windows file locations and system structure
- Windows registry
- Familiarity with modern endpoint management concepts
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Interpersonal & Behavioral Skills
- Exceptional customer service orientation with a patient and helpful demeanor
- Strong verbal communication skills, with ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms
- Professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for executive-level interaction
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Active listening skills to properly understand user needs and concerns
- Adaptability to different communication styles and user technical proficiency levels
- Tactful and diplomatic approach to sensitive situations
- Ability to build rapport and trust with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications (MD-100, MD-101, or similar)
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation
- Knowledge of endpoint security best practices
- Familiarity with Active Directory and Group Policy
- Previous experience providing white glove or VIP technical support
Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
