The Parts Warehouse Manager will work with the parts team to grow the department and make the necessary decisions to maintain a profitable parts department.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve an acceptable operating profit for the department by increasing sales and gross profit dollars while also being aware and managing expenses appropriately
- Oversees outgoing and incoming freight to minimize costs and maximize recovery charges
- Identifying areas for improvement in the parts warehouse, such as streamlining processes, reducing waste, and improving customer service.
- Supporting a team of parts warehouse employees, including training new staff, setting work schedules, and ensuring that all staff adhere to safety and workplace policies.
- Actively identify prospects for volume sales (fleet operators or independent service and repair centers)
- Activities will also include filing claims for damages, shortages, and ordered-in-error; ensuring outgoing shipments are packaged and labeled correctly; assisting with parts deliveries, when required; and adhering to deadlines for parts receiving and distribution.
