Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee purchasing operations for food manufacturing and high-volume catering, focusing on cost-reduction initiatives and supplier optimization.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, leveraging volume purchasing to drive cost savings and strengthen supplier relationships.
  • Develop and monitor key procurement metrics, using data-driven insights to enhance operational decision-making.
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a results-oriented and high-performance culture.
  • Drive continuous improvements in procurement processes and demand planning through existing systems and new efficiencies.
  • Establish and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.
  • Identify and introduce new product sourcing opportunities that align with budgetary and operational constraints.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Certifications: Supply chain certification is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in procurement within the food service or manufacturing industries.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a hands-on approach to team management.
  • Skilled negotiator with a strategic mindset and ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.
  • Analytical thinker with a keen eye for optimizing procurement processes and reducing costs.
  • Adept at managing complex projects by breaking them down into actionable steps.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication abilities, ensuring seamless coordination with internal teams.
