Job Overview
The production Manager will report directly to the Plant Manager. In this role you will be responsible for planning, organization and managing production in the plant. Your goal will be to ensure that products are produced efficiently, on time, in budget and to the quality standards of their clients.
Responsibilities
· Develop and implement plans to meet quality, production and financial goals.
· Assembling and managing your team for the extrusion department.
· Managing resources for production including labor and materials.
· Developing Standard Operating Procedures
· Ensure all Safety, Health and Quality standards are being met by the manufacturing team.
· Schedule and manage production, provide status reports to the Plant manager and ensure on-time delivery of products.
· Identify and create process and quality improvements.
· Forecast, set and manage the budget and cost control programs for manufacturing.
· Conduct performance reviews.
· Safety committee member.
· Foster and promote a positive and safe work environment for all employees.
Requirements
· High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering or Industrial Technology preferred.
· 5 years of experience in plastics manufacturing required, plastic extrusion experience preferred. Injection or Blow molding considered
· Lean manufacturing experience.
· Proficient in MS Suite
· Effective leadership skills and problem-solving techniques required.
