In this role, you will play an essential role in the marketing of our flagship product, IXL, and create a broad range of materials that engage with our key audiences: educators, parents, and students. We’re looking for someone who is a strong writer and communicator, creative, organized, proactive, and passionate about IXL’s mission to impact education.
This is a full-time position in our San Mateo, CA office. The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday in the office with the option to work from home one day per week.

What You'll Be Doing
- Write and develop marketing content, including but not limited to: marketing and sales collateral, emails, web copy, blog posts, case studies, and more
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to devise creative ways to reach potential customers and to deepen our engagement with existing users
- Work with colleagues from various teams, including product managers and graphic designers, to coordinate and implement projects from start to finish
- BA/BS degree and 2-4 years of solid marketing experience in a professional environment
- Written communication: You are an exceptional writer and know how to make every word count. You can switch easily from writing messaging about a new product feature, to crafting an impactful marketing email, to developing a lighthearted blog post
- Interpersonal skills: You’re a team player, have excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with people at all levels
- You get things done: You’re a self starter, detail-oriented, organized, resourceful, can manage projects from start to finish and juggle multiple deadlines
- You have knowledge of, or an interest in, education/edtech and can learn about the industry quickly
- Experience with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop is a plus
