Information Security Specialist
The Information Security Specialist is responsible for supporting security operations, access management, and compliance activities. This role involves conducting data analysis, reviewing security reports, managing user provisioning, and assisting with IT auditing. The specialist will utilize IT service management (ITSM) tools and security platforms to ensure adherence to security policies and procedures.
<>Key Responsibilities:</>- Generate reports and conduct security-related data analysis using Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
- Utilize ITSM tools such as Cherwell, ServiceNow, and SharePoint to manage security workflows.
- Review security reports, identify necessary actions, and ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Work independently while following security protocols and escalation procedures.
- Engage with customers to resolve security issues and escalate concerns when needed.
- Perform user provisioning and deprovisioning within Active Directory.
- Support IT auditing and access certification processes as required.
- Assist with security operations using tools such as SailPoint, Varonis, and Delinea (preferred but not required).
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in IT security operations, identity and access management, or IT service management.
- Prior experience with Active Directory user provisioning and deprovisioning.
- Experience in IT auditing and/or access certifications preferred.
- Familiarity with security tools such as SailPoint, Varonis, and Delinea (preferred but not required).
- Ability to work independently while adhering to security best practices and compliance standards.
- Strong analytical skills for reviewing reports and identifying security actions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Understanding of IT service management (ITSM) tools such as Cherwell and ServiceNow.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Effective communication skills for working with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience working in an enterprise security environment.
- Knowledge of security compliance frameworks and best practices.
- Hybrid role (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) or fully remote.
- Collaboration with IT security teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
