This role is instrumental in maintaining strong financial controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving strategic financial initiatives. About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Financial Controller to join the finance team and oversee critical financial functions. This role will focus on financial reporting, compliance, and process optimization while working closely with internal teams and external auditors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the billing system (Zuora) and related processes to ensure accurate revenue recognition and payment completeness.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including financial statement preparation, tax filings, and subsidiary reporting.
- Oversee the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements, including intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translations.
- Ensure compliance with US-GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of statutory reports and regulatory filings.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.
- Review equity contracts to ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Support the implementation of ASC 350-40 (Internal-Use Software Capitalization).
- Prepare management reporting packages and provide financial insights to investors and auditors.
- Review payroll and expense reports for global subsidiaries, coordinating with local payroll accountants.
- Develop and implement financial processes to support efficient operations and high-quality reporting.
- Collaborate with external auditors and consultants during interim and annual audits.
- Assist with finance and accounting-related projects and initiatives as needed.
What You Bring
- CPA qualification with Big 4 experience – required.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite – required.
- Familiarity with billing platforms like Zuora – preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US-GAAP and experience preparing accounting memos.
- 4+ years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years as an Assistant Controller in a high-growth, global tech company.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent Excel and Office skills.
- Full professional fluency in English
