Full Stack Engineer (BigQuery) - Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer with expertise in Google BigQuery to design, develop, and maintain scalable data-driven applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both frontend and backend development, working with cloud-based data warehouses, and building efficient data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
Develop & Maintain Applications: Build and optimize web applications that interact with BigQuery for data retrieval, processing, and visualization.
Database & BigQuery Integration: Design and implement efficient data models, queries, and ETL pipelines using BigQuery.
Backend Development: Create and maintain RESTful or GraphQL APIs using frameworks like Node.js, Python (Flask/Django), or Java.
Frontend Development: Develop responsive and dynamic user interfaces using React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Cloud & DevOps: Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure) using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Security & Performance: Implement best practices for data security, access controls, and application performance optimization.
Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong Full Stack Development Skills: Experience with frontend (React/Angular/Vue) and backend (Node.js/Python/Java) technologies.
BigQuery Expertise: Proficiency in SQL and optimizing queries for performance in BigQuery.
Cloud Experience: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), including BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub.
Data Engineering: Knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and working with structured & semi-structured data.
API Development: Experience with RESTful and GraphQL API development.
DevOps & CI/CD: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
Security & Compliance: Understanding of data security, access management, and best practices in cloud environments.
Problem-Solving & Communication: Ability to work in an agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Google Data Studio, Looker, or other BI tools.
Knowledge of real-time data streaming with Kafka or Pub/Sub.
