Our client, a world-renowned manufacturing company, is looking to hire a dynamic Commodity Manager to obtain the best quality, service, and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management. In this position, you will play a vital role with the responsibility for developing, negotiating, and administering highly complex and high-risk subcontracts, ensuring compliance on supplier cost, schedule, legal and performance criteria. This position provides very competitive compensation, discretionary bonus, benefits and potential 3-day weekends.

Job Description:
Selects qualified suppliers, develops new sourcing options for critical, high-value, and long-lead-time materials, and leads the supplier selection process.
Performs material planning tasks, including lead-time analysis, asset management, and forecasting material requirements.
Support product development by involving suppliers in early design stages to enhance cost-effectiveness, reliability, and manufacturability.
Solicits and evaluates supplier proposals, negotiates pricing and terms, and conducts market research and bidder meetings to ensure informed supplier selection.
Develops negotiation strategies based on cost and pricing analysis, conducts investigations, and secures long-term contracts with key suppliers.
Leads major contract negotiations, prepares subcontracts and supporting documents, and ensures compliance with contractual requirements.
Processes purchase orders accurately, including those involving international suppliers and trade regulations.
Oversees subcontract administration, ensures compliance with agreements, and monitors expenditures against budgeted amounts.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field with eight or more years of experience in contract administration or procurement.
CPM or Contracts Management certification preferred.
Advanced knowledge of material planning methods, procurement regulations (DFAR/FAR, FAA), and industry policies.
Proficiency in business applications, purchasing/materials systems (EDI, MRP, SAP).
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
