Project Manager - Drupal Modernization
ASSYST is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a Drupal Modernization project for our client in Washington D.C.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing federal government projects and possess a strong understanding of Agile, Lean, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles. This position also requires expertise in project management methodologies, contract deliverables, and reporting.
Job Location: Washington D.C. (Fully remote)
This position is contingent upon the contract award
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct the technical team, ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met.
- Manage contract resources across all project phases, including planning, requirements elicitation, development, testing, and deployment.
- Provide technical oversight, schedule management, and deadline adherence to ensure the successful execution of all project tasks.
- Ensure compliance with federal government project standards and reporting requirements.
- Utilize Salesforce, JIRA, and Confluence to manage project execution and tracking.
- Provide contract oversight, ensuring deliverables align with performance objectives.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, risk assessments, and status reports.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and align project goals.
- Be fully dedicated to this project and support various tasks within the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience managing major IT development and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) projects.
- Experience with Salesforce, JIRA, and Confluence for project tracking and collaboration.
- Active Project Management Certification, such as: Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or comparable certification.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Lean, and SAFe methodologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
