CONTRACT SPECIALIST
- You will analyze and evaluate procurement aspects of mission-oriented programs, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- You will coordinate the development of complex acquisition and source selection plans for specialized equipment and services.
- You will ensure necessary funding, waivers, and approvals are obtained for purchase requests and handle funding-related issues.
- You will perform market research to identify commercial solutions that meet customer needs and determine suitable sources to solicit.
- You will administer complex, long-term contracts for specialized systems, and services impacting major agency programs.
- You will utilize mastery knowledge of procurement statutes and regulations and/or contracting methods, policies, procedures, and contract types to plan and carry out long-term pre award and/or post-award procurement actions.

- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Contracting, Professional acquisition certification within 36 months in accordance with DoD Instruction 5000.66. Failure to meet these requirements could result in disciplinary action or removal from employment.
