About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Marketing and Distribution Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the growth of our insurance products through strategic marketing initiatives and building strong relationships with distribution partners, including agents, brokers, and other third-party channels. This role requires close collaboration with underwriting teams to ensure our products are effectively marketed and distributed to the right audience. The ability to travel is a must for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy and Campaign Management

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive marketing strategies to promote and grow the distribution of insurance products.
  • Oversee the creation of targeted marketing campaigns to reach potential customers through digital channels (e.g., SEO, social media, email) and traditional methods (e.g., print media, events).
  • Collaborate with the underwriting teams to ensure that marketing materials effectively communicate the benefits and features of the insurance products.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer feedback to refine marketing strategies and ensure the products remain competitive.

Distribution Partner Development

  • Identify, recruit, and manage relationships with key distribution partners, including agents, brokers, and third-party vendors.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing distribution partners to drive new business and ensure product availability.
  • Provide training and resources to partners, ensuring they are equipped to effectively sell and market our products.
  • Analyze partner performance and identify opportunities to enhance sales and distribution capabilities.

Underwriting Support and Business Development

  • Work closely with the underwriting teams to ensure alignment between marketing efforts and sales objectives.
  • Develop lead generation strategies and identify key opportunities to expand product reach.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and foster relationships with potential distribution partners.
  • Support the development of customized insurance solutions based on market needs and client preferences.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight

  • Ensure all marketing materials and campaigns are compliant with insurance industry regulations and standards.
  • Work with the legal and compliance teams to review promotional content, ensuring that it adheres to applicable laws and policies.

Performance Tracking and Reporting

  • Set and monitor marketing and distribution activities, including customer acquisition, lead generation, and sales conversion.
  • Regularly report on marketing campaign performance, channel effectiveness, and distribution growth to senior management.
  • Analyze data to continuously optimize marketing efforts and improve ROI.

Brand Management

  • Enhance and protect the company’s brand image across all marketing and distribution channels.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging, design, and tone across all marketing materials, ensuring alignment with the company’s values and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Insurance, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in marketing, distribution, or sales within the insurance industry, preferably with an MGU, MGA, or insurance carrier.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive business growth.
  • Strong understanding of the insurance market, distribution channels, and regulatory environment.
  • Experience in building and managing relationships with brokers, agents, and other distribution partners.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and data analytics platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and strategies effectively.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel as required for client and partner meetings.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

  • Experience with marketing automation tools, customer journey mapping, and lead management.
