Contract Design Engineer
Job Title: Systems Design Contractor/Specialist
We're seeking a highly skilled Systems Design Contractor/Specialist to contribute to the development of Corporate Systems strategies and projects. The ideal candidate will possess 2D and 3D modeling skills, be self-motivated, and eager to learn our client's design standards. The Systems Design Contractor/Specialist will, also, develop 2D and/or 3D assets with parametric features for our Standards Library, edit existing 2D and/or 3D drawings, and develop new 2D and 3D designs to support their project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain conveyor component assets using 2D and 3D software
- Develop and edit feasibility designs using 2D and 3D assets
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
- Manage project schedules and timelines
- Assist in developing feasibility designs based on Industrial Engineering requirements (drawing sets, equipment manifests and estimates)
- Provide project support to Corporate, Region, and/or District Project Managers
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in Autodesk or SolidWorks 2D and 3D software
- Meticulous attention to detail with ability to balance big-picture concepts and detailed facts
- Project management skills
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Software/Application Experience
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D drafting using products such as:
- AutoCAD
- Architecture
- Inventor with Factory Design Utilities
- Navisworks Manage and Docs
- SolidWorks
15-20% travel is required
