The Assistant Market Editor is a member of the Fashion Network department. They work closely with Associate Editors, Editors, Senior Editors, or Directors on requesting fashion and accessories (including jewelry, watches, men's accessories, etc) for editorial shoots, videos, celebrity dressing and special projects. They will occasionally be asked to contribute to digital projects. They work across multiple brands as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
The expected base salary range for this position is from $61,500-$70,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.

The Assistant Market Editor is a member of the Fashion Network department. They work closely with Associate Editors, Editors, Senior Editors, or Directors on requesting fashion and accessories (including jewelry, watches, men's accessories, etc) for editorial shoots, videos, celebrity dressing and special projects. They will occasionally be asked to contribute to digital projects. They work across multiple brands as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist on editorial communications (such as—but not limited to—follow ups, logistics, and clarifications) with oversight from Editors
- Communication with PRs and brands on editorial
- Overseeing of credit information
- Handling of some administrative duties for Editors - scheduling, travel, expenses
- Attend market appointments as needed.
- Closet duties such as—but not limited to—check ins, maintenance of market materials - images, lookbooks, etc, maintenance and organization of closest, communications with returns department, returns for jewelry as and when needed.
- Assist in Special Events and EIC and C suite dressing for such events (Met, Fashion Fund, Tonys, Oscars Party, etc) as needed
- Contribute seasonal and evergreen fashion ideas for print and digital
- Some fashion experience preferred
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
- General knowledge of fashion industry
- Ability to move easily from project to project
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a collaborative manner
- Ability to build and grow relationships with PR and brands
- Excellent organizational skills
- Interest in fashion and editorial content
