Key Responsibilities


  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

  • Conduct in-depth variance analysis to explain fluctuations and provide insights to management.

  • Assist in the preparation of management reports, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.

  • Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and company policies.

  • Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation of vendor invoices.

  • File sales tax in compliance with state and local regulations.

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

  • Accrue expenses at month-end, ensuring proper recognition of costs and compliance with accounting standards.

  • Perform complex reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.

  • Monitor and assess financial transactions for accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.

  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

  • Track and maintain records of fixed assets, including depreciation schedules and disposals.

  • Collaborate with departments to ensure accurate recording of fixed asset additions and retirements.

  • Work closely with teams across the organization to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate financial data and analysis.




Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.

  • 2-3 years of experience in accounting.

  • Strong MS Excel and Word skills

  • Familiar with Paymaster payroll a plus.

  • Understanding of Sage Intacct a plus.

  • Multi-site retail experience a plus.

  • Attention to detail
