Role Overview

As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will be a key member of the Employee Relations Centers of Excellence (COE) team reporting to the Senior Manager, Employee Relations. In this role, you will provide expertise and practical guidance to internal business-facing HR partners and leaders on a breadth of employee relations issues in compliance with company policy, and local, state and federal laws. You will adeptly conduct sensitive and highly complex and/or high-tier workplace investigations with a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.

Essential Duties

  • Serve as the Employee Relations subject matter expert, guiding HR and business leaders on broad and complex workplace issues, policy interpretation, and compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Conduct high-tier investigations related to Title VII allegations, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, hostile work environment, and violations of company policies.
  • Lead investigations in a Center of Excellence (COE) environment, ensuring thorough analysis, fact-based recommendations, and clear documentation using a case management system (Navex).
  • Provide guidance on performance management, employee relations concerns, workplace conflict, and policy application to mitigate risk and promote a positive work environment.
  • Foster collaboration with HR teams, legal counsel, and business leaders to support compliance, best practices, and proactive employee relations strategies.
  • Review, analyze, and provide solutions on emerging employee relations trends to continuously improve policies, processes, and training initiatives.
  • Respond to sensitive concerns, both internally and externally, with a customer service mindset and a high level of professionalism.

  • Extensive experience in Employee Relations, handling complex workplace complaints and conflict resolution.
  • Proven track record conducting high-tier investigations in a COE environment, including Title VII and other sensitive cases.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity while delivering thoughtful and strategic employee relations support.
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence, discretion, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze trends and proactively recommend solutions that support both compliance and a positive workplace culture.
  • Customer service mindset with a consultative approach in guiding business leaders and HR partners.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Business Administration, Human Resources, Labor Relations or related field, or relevant experience in lieu.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Human Resources, with 2 years’ experience in non-union Employee Relations Centers of Excellence (COE).
  • Proven experience handling complex workplace complaints and conflict resolution; experience providing guidance on performance management, company policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, specifically Microsoft Excel.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000 - $115,000 + 5% Bonus + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
