Slabe Machine Products is seeking a Production Planner for our rapidly growing team!
Responsible for creating and managing production schedules that ensure meeting customer demand while maintaining operational efficiency. It's not just about logistics—it's about owning their role, problem-solving on the fly, and providing exceptional customer service every step of the way. It is a role that needs to be a proactive, self-starter who can juggle multiple tasks, anticipate challenges, and always deliver results with an eye on quality.
Hours for this role are Monday through Friday, 6:45 am to 3:15 pm
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and follow up on master production schedule, maximizing line loading through optimizing production order.
- Increase manufacturing efficiencies through effective line loading.
- Monitor inventory levels and proactively schedule production to eliminate/minimize out-of-stock issues.
- Prepare and analyze statistical and productivity reports.
- Organize new product launches through NPR meetings (New Product Review)
- Communicate directly with the customer and outside vendors.
- Use/access customer portals and ERP systems as required.
- Perform daily meetings to discuss current open orders and communicate any production constraints to department supervisors.
- Maintain daily production database (data entry) currently through Excel.
- Input and manage daily, monthly, and quarterly sales goals.
- Physically move parts through the facility as the operations direct
- Attendance is critical due to the nature of the role and the level of support required by the production team and other departments.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Work directly with department supervisors and operators throughout the facility in a professional, respectful manner.
- Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to inventory control activities.
- Two years of manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of SAP, Job Boss, ERP systems.
- Supervisory or Management experience is a plus.
- Customer service experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work weekends, as needed, with a strong work ethic and proven leadership skills.
- A self-motivated individual who can work with & direct others.
