We are seeking a skilled and experienced Windows 11 Deployment Engineer to lead and manage the entire deployment process of Windows 11 across our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, and project management, with a focus on ensuring a smooth and efficient transition to Windows 11.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Preparation:
- Perform hardware and software audits to identify systems eligible for upgrade.
- Ensure all systems meet the minimum requirements for Windows 11.
- Backup critical data and ensure data integrity during the migration process.
- Deployment Execution:
- Utilize deployment tools and methodologies to automate and streamline the installation process.
- Conduct pilot deployments to test and validate the deployment strategy.
- Monitor and manage the deployment process, addressing any issues that arise.
- Post-Deployment Support:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for any post-deployment issues.
- Ensure all systems are fully operational and optimized for performance.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users to familiarize them with Windows 11 features and functionalities.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of the deployment process, including configurations, changes, and issues.
- Generate reports on deployment progress, system performance, and user feedback.
- Develop and update documentation for future reference and training purposes.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest Windows 11 updates, patches, and best practices.
- Identify opportunities for improving the deployment process and overall IT infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement enhancements and optimizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in deploying and managing Windows operating systems, particularly Windows 11.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, system administration, and network management.
- Proficiency with deployment tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Windows Deployment Services (WDS), and PowerShell scripting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or similar certification.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and principles.
